From the bus station next to the Mega supper you will need to get on the 6:30 bus to Tanque. you will need ¢1000 colones for this bus, 15 minutes Next you will wait across the street from the COLONO (harware) for the 7:15 bus to Peñas Blancas bus. you will need ¢4,500 colones for this bus 5 hoursThis bus will take you to the border you will get of and pay $12.00 usthen on the other side of the border there will be buses waiting totake you to your other destinations, such as Rivas, San Juan , del Sur and Granada.

From the border to Rivas is 30 minutes
From the border to San Juan in 45 minutes

Liberia to La Fortuna by public bus

There are approximately 95 miles of distance, starting in Liberia and passing by Cañas, Tilarán, Nuevo Arenal and finally arriving to La Fortuna.
The first place where you should go is to Cañas, for that must go before to the Liberia bus station, and take a bus, which run from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm every hour, then go to Transportes Villana Bus Terminal, in Cañas downtown and take a bus to Tilarán, the buses departure every days each hour from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Finally in Tilarán, go to the Bus
Station, and take a bus to La Fortuna, there are only 2 buses a day, one at 7:00 a.m., and the last one at 12:30 p.m.
